Is it normal that the gravel texture makes Rhino quit? All the wood texture from this site work, but this particular one make rhino suddenly quit.
Hi, I am trying to use the first stone texture but when i put it on any surface the material goes crazy and the rocks get totally out of proportion they look like huge rock spikes..
Help Please!
Try to change mapping of Your object in according to how the object looks like :)
Thanks! fixed it! just had to play a bit with the displacement on the mapping
Hey Matus,
IS there a tutorial on how to get a realistic brick wall using these textures. I get very repetitive patterns. Any ideas?
Thanks (this site is amazing!)
Max
Hi MAX
for a tutorial regarding brick walls, stone surfaces and other Displacement-based surfaces, have a look in here: http://www.flyingarchitecture.com/bump-and-displacement-tutorial-in-v-ray-for-rhino/
Regarding Your repetitive patterns: I always try to take my own photos and edit them in PS to make them suitable for rendering. It’s good to have your camera ready all the time.
sometimes, when I get repetitive rendered surface, I try to overlay it with many reference photos in Photoshop. It helps all the time. Don’t forget – PS is the cornerstone of a good render, not Rhino, not V-Ray, not fryrender or Maxwell… PS is the best (literally) render engine in the world. :)
