Toy Car Designer – Aquent (Rhino)

Job Description

Major toy brand is looking for a Temporary Designer fro toy car division. Specifically looking for an inventive toy vehicle innovation designer with strong visual communication skills, practical bread-boarding/model-making skills, and proficiency in 3D software (Solidworks, Rhino, etc…).

Primary responsibilities of this role will be to:
- Design and develop projects of high complexity
- Brainstorm new product concepts, and initiate New Innovation within the brand
- Create working models (both digital and traditional) to prove out concepts
- Create design sketches, renderings, and control drawings
- Present ideas to management, other team members, and licensors for review
- Carry a product line through from concept to Production to achieve development milestones
- Work closely with Marketing/ Engineering/ Costing / Packaging/ Research/ Electronics/ Safety
- Build consensus between all team members throughout design process
- Identify risks & areas for improvements.

Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor degree (BA, BS) or equivalent experience in Industrial Design/Toy Design/Entertainment Design
- Proven Sketching (conventional & digital), Ideation, and Rendering skills
- Strong Photoshop & Illustrator skills
- Strong Digital Modeling skills (Solidworks, Rhino, or comparable 3D software)

- Have strong Photoshop & Illustrator skills; 3D Modeling skills
- Have automotive design skills
- Be able to Brainstorm – Capable of running brainstorms within the team to get to the best ideas.
- Have refined presentation skills
- Have highly developed problem solving skills and ability to strategize
- Understand trends and utilize research findings
- Be flexible with tight deadlines and a changing environment

EDUCATION
- A Bachelor degree (BA, BS) or equivalent experience in Industrial Design/Toy Design/Entertainment Design
