Part 4
Let’s create something what will stand for a bulb. It is not a physically correct bulb, but it’ll have emissive material to illuminate the lamp from inside. Check the image for dimensions.
Now it’s time for the inner shader. Create another cylinder, 79 mm tall with the diameter of 46 mm.
Create Tube, which outer face will be corresponding with the outer face of previous Cylinder. Tube dimensions: outer diameter is 46 mm, inner diameter is 44 mm, height is 4 mm.
Use Boolean difference to exclude the tube solid out of the cylinder’s shape.
Create another Cylinder, inside of the larger one. Height is 77 mm, diameter 42 mm.
Fillet top edges by 2 mm radius each.
Fillet lower edge, using the radius of 0.5 mm.
And this is it. We’re done! Whole thing cannot take more than 10 minutes of modeling. It’s all about few simple and basic commands in Rhino.
